A Review of “Love in Store” by Vannetta Chapman

Book Description from Amazon:

“It’s never too late for love, but danger could spoil the heart’s plans.

Stella Schrock works at the Old Mill in Nappanee, Indiana, with new employee David Stoltzfus, a recent widower. When strange happenings begin occurring around town, it appears as if someone wants to close the mill. Stella and David have to work together to solve the mystery of what is happening at the Old Amish Mill, and in the process they might just find that God has more in store for their future than they would ever have dreamed possible.”

My review:

I so enjoyed this story of love and second chances. The fact that it’s also an Amish mystery by Vannetta Chapman just adds to its charm.

I admired David and Stella’s consistent faith in God for His guidance during troubling times. I also loved reading about the growing romance between them, as they were both older Amish adults who find love at a time in their lives when they least expected it. The author leaves just enough clues to hold your interest in the mystery, yet never enough to give the answer away until the end.

This is such a sweet novella. It’s the perfect book for when you want something to read that’ a little shorter, yet intriguing and heartwarming.
