About Me

About Me

Welcome to my blog!

I’m Patti–a retired school teacher; wife of 41 years to Mike; a mom; an avid photographer; an Arkansas Razorback and Kansas City Royals fan.  I believe every word of John 3:16 is true.

The title to this page comes courtesy of my husband:  I live to read!

From the time I read the first page in my first “Dick and Jane” reader in school, I’ve been in love with books and the written page.  The first book series that I remember reading was the old “Nancy Drew” series.  That series further developed my love of books. My goal for this blog is to share that love with you.  I have a passion for reading and promoting good literature.  I especially love Christian fiction and non-fiction, but also read in other genres.

The basis for the books that I choose to read, and promote on this page, come from a verse found in  Philippians 4:8:

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing.  Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Whatever I’m reading, I want it to fit in the categories listed above.

And there’s a world of literature that fits those categories just waiting to be read. Those books are are the ones I want to share with you.  Thank you for coming alongside me as we read these wonderful books together.

One more thing:  This is not a Bible study page, but the Bible is my very favorite Book to read.  All other books are just words on a page, but the Bible is the Living Word for all of us.
