Book description from Amazon’s webpage:
“Lyle and Heidi Troyer have taken in two children orphaned when their parents were killed in a car accident. Hoping to help the children adapt and make friends, Heidi decides to hold a series of cooking classes for kids. But kids are always accompanied by an adult–and that is where the troubles begin.”
If you are a fan of Wanda Brunstetter’s books, you will enjoy this latest addition to “The Amish Cooking Class” series. She introduces quite a few characters at the beginning of the book, but still managed to make me care about each of them. All the families represented at the cooking class have their own struggles, but I could follow each storyline clearly as the classes progressed. Her books are always filled with faith, hope, and love. I think that’s the reason we enjoy them so much. The recipes at the back of the book are an extra bonus. (See my earlier review on the cookbook based on this class.)
I’d recommend this book for a day when you want a light, heartfelt story. As always, I’m looking forward to her next book.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher via Amazon. I was not required to write a positive review.
