Review of “The Amish Women of Lawrence County” by Tracy Fredrychowski

Publisher Description

“Tucked away in Northwestern Pennsylvania, resides a small group of Amish that calls Lawrence County their home. Along the winding country roads, etched with well-worn buggy tracks, are families that hold the values of God, Family, and Community deep in tradition. Among them, are ten women whose lives intertwine in this quiet Pennsylvania town. I invite you to come with me as I take you for a walk in a “day in the life” of these Amish women.

Each of them is led by the Lord to take care of her family, and each embraces her role as the one who holds her family together. Some will discover new love, one will battle health issues, some will need to forgive, and others will find who they are in Christ. But what binds them all together is their desire to serve God, love their families, and support their community by loving their neighbors, just as God instructs them to do.”

My Review:

First, my apologies to  author Tracy Fredrychowski.  I had this blog ready to post and today I finally realized this one did not post for some reason.

These short stories are well-written and heart-touching.  I loved each story and it would be impossible for me to pick a favorite.  The author describes the Willow Springs community so well that I felt as if I had actually visited there. Each chapter features an Amish lady from the community, and several of their stories intertwined.  I’m hoping that we’ll be reading more about each of these ladies in future books.  In fact, right now I have “Secrets of Willow Springs” Book 1 as my next book to read.  I’ll be writing a review soon for this one.  I am adding Tracy Fredrychowski to my “favorite author” list.

What a nice review. I can promise you, you’ll be reading more about each one of those Women of Lawrence County. It’s won’t be the last time you hear from them. Each one of them has a story swirling around in my head waiting to be told.
