Childhood sweethearts are reunited in the South of France.
Everything in Annie’s life is going perfectly; she’s living in a trendy part of London, she’s running her own business, and she’s pretty sure her boyfriend Jeremy is about to propose.
But when Jeremy tells Annie he’s not ready to commit, things start to fall apart.
Desperate for some space, Annie heads to the South of France.
At her grandmother’s picturesque chateaux in Provence, Annie is reunited with her childhood sweetheart – the effortlessly handsome Sebastian. And when organising a village festival brings them closer together, Annie starts to remember exactly why she fell for Sebastian when she was a teenager.
Will Annie and Sebastian find their happy ever after amongst the lavender fields of Provence? Or will Jeremy’s sudden return pull them apart?
My Review:
This is a clean and sweet contemporary romance that will touch your heart. The setting of the story, especially the lavender fields near Provence and the description of the old chateau, fired my imagination as I read. Annie and Sebastian are great lead characters. Sebastian is a sweetheart, especially as He was able to forgive Annie for how she had hurt him in the past. He’s definitely a keeper! They don’t have a smooth road to rekindling their teenage romance, but that makes their story even better. This would make a great Hallmark movie—and I mean that as a compliment. Just the type of book for when you want to relax and read an entertaining love story.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
