My Review:
I love Tina Radcliffe’s books. Her characters are always interesting and she does a wonderful job of incorporating an aspect of faith into all her stories. I have especially loved this “Hearts of Oklahoma” series about the Rainbolt family. This book centers on Kate Rainbolt, the only girl and the youngest of the Rainbolt siblings.
After experiencing a serious injury in a rodeo, Kate finds herself wondering what the future holds for her. She returns home to the Rainbolt ranch to recover from her injuries and see where God might next lead her. She’s surprised to find that Jess McNally now is a foreman at the ranch. Things did not end well between them, and now Jess and Kate must find a way to peacefully work together on the ranch.
I loved the “second chance romance” between Kate and Jess. Both are good people who care deeply for others, and it was fun following their story. Because of hurts from their past, they both had to come to a different level of trust in God. I’d recommend this whole series to you. There’s some clean, sweet romance in each book, but there’s also the theme of God working in our lives during times of hurt and difficultly. I was sorry that this was the end of this series, but look forward to the next one.
