My Review:
This is quite the suspenseful story. There’s no good stopping point in the book, so be prepared to keep the pages turning quickly. I loved that there were so many different plot twists; and then a major surprise towards the end of the story that I did not see coming. There’s danger for the main characters on almost every page of this book.
I also appreciated the theme of faith that was woven throughout the entire book. Madison Steele’s loss of her sister seemed to only confirm her atheist beliefs. Despite the difficult situations that had happened in his life, Tucker Reed’s faith was holding strong. As the two work together to solve the murder case, Madison is somewhat amazed that Tucker is still holding on to his faith. This could also be a “second chance romance” for Madison and Tucker, but there are major obstacles in their way. The author did an amazing job of keeping the action going, yet making sure we got to know the two main characters in a deeper way. It was enjoyable, suspenseful reading.
