My Review:
I always love reading Ruth Logan Herne’s books, especially the characters she introduces to the reader. This story, as you get a little past halfway through the book, takes a turn that I did not expect at all. That twist in the storyline transforms this book from being just a sweet, enjoyable romance into a journey of finding faith and trust in God during difficult times.
At the beginning of the story, both Rye and Devlyn have regrets about the way their relationship ended. Both made the mistake of not doing the right thing and trusting each other as unforeseen circumstances entered their lives. Now they have a second chance, but once again life throws difficulties in their path. Rye has to decide whether to have faith and completely trust God; and Devlyn has to decide whether she can completely forgive and move forward with her life. There are good lessons in this book for all of us in trusting God completely, no matter what comes our way.
