About the Author
An admittedly hopeless romantic, C.J. Carroll first started telling love stories as a child, with her 60-plus Barbie/Ken doll collection. Her goal is to write stories that are faith-filled,funny, flirty and fresh. She hopes that her stories entertain and uplift, and that her readers feel the loving touch of God’s hand.
My Review:
This is a sweet, clean story of a marriage of convenience between Zed and Tasha, two committed believers who decide that they can successfully make a commitment to being married for three months so that Zed can save his family home. This is more than just a “fun” Christmas story although there are some of those Christmas celebration moments. But there’s also a deeper storyline of both Zed and Tasha struggling to come to terms with deep hurts from their younger years and coming to realize how those experiences are impacting their present decisions.
I loved the character of Tasha. Her bright and bubbly personality, along with her compassion for others, made this book a delight to read. The thread of faith in God’s timing and forgiveness added much to this story.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
