My Review:
Reading this book is almost like sitting in a small group and hearing encouraging and inspiring counsel directly from the authors. The first chapters set the groundwork for parenting adult children; and the authors acknowledge both the pain and the triumphs that come from raising children. There’s a section directed especially to parents who children have made poor choices, but there’s also encouragement for those parents whose children are grounded spiritually and living a fulfilled life.
I think the prayer section of the book is heart-touching, and as the author states, can be a springboard on to how to prayer for adult children. I especially loved the section about praying specific areas for your child to grow to become more like Christ. This is a great book to have in your shelf to turn to during those times you might be especially concerned about and praying for your adult or teen child.
