My Review:

Please note: This is on the updated book that was published this week. Please make sure you are getting the correct version when you order. i’m still not sure which book cover is the updated book.

“A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same.  Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions.  If you know nothing of the Bible, start here.  If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder.”  Quote from Chapter 1 in “3:16: The Numbers of Hope” by Max Lucado; updated edition 2022)

I enjoyed reading this book.  The author’s writing style is welcoming and compassionate.  As you read, you’ll feel as if you were sitting in a small group, soaking up words of encouragement, warning, and hope. If you are a new believer in Christ and want to understand more about the beauty of Christ’s love and sacrifice for us, this book is for you.  If you are a seasoned believer and have followed Christ for many years, you’ll find in these pages renewed faith and gratitude for all Jesus has done for us.

This would be a wonderful book for a small group study or Sunday school class, as well as an enlightening book for a one-on-one study with a new believer.  It’s also an excellent book to give to a friend who is seeking the truth about God and the meaning of salvation in Christ.  The addition of the forty devotions at the end of the book entitled “Only Jesus: 40 Days With The Son” further extend the thoughts in this book.

In my opinion this is one of Max Lucado’s best books.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher.  All opinions are my own.
