Review of “Unlikely Season” by Jennifer Spredemann

Publisher Description:

love story…a Christmas story…and a miracle.

Christmas for the Stoltz family has been different ever since young Jaycee Parker mistook an Amish bishop for Santa Claus.

Now that James Stoltz’s parents have been shunned by their Amish community, his family finally has a chance at a real relationship with them—something impossible when his sons Wesley and Randy were growing up.

As the family gathers once again for Christmas, James and Robin reveal their own love story and how the hand of God guided their journey to each other and to Him.

If you enjoyed Unlikely Santa…if you enjoyed Unlikely Sweethearts…if you enjoyed Unlikely Singing…then you’ll definitely want to read Unlikely Season!

A heart-touching story of faith, hope, and love.

My Review:

This book is the final book in the “Unlikely Amish Christmas” series.

The other books, in reading order, are:

“Unlikely Santa”

“Unlikely Sweethearts”

“Unlikely Singing”-(More Amish Christmas Miracles)

“Unlikely Season”

In order to fully appreciate reading this last book of the series, I’d recommend reading the other books first.  You’ll more fully understand the significance of each of these families gathering together for Christmas.  It was heart-warming to see the storylines of these characters come together and the strong thread of faith that had an impact in each of their lives.  God lead them to a place of hope, faith, and love.

I have appreciated this series because the author has made certain that the gospel has been shared in each book.  She’s honored the traditions of the Amish, yet has also left the message of salvation in these books for all to discover as they read.  I will miss these characters and this will be a series I’ll read again during Christmas seasons in the future.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher.  All opinions are my own.
