Book 2: A Christmas Bargain

My Review:

This thoughtful story has a Christmas tree farm as the setting, and getting the farm ready for Christmas drives the storyline in the book.  Annalise Grant finds herself a widow at a young age.  She’s looking for the farm to be a new beginning for both her and her sixteen-month-old daughter, Olivia.  She’s ready and willing to tackle the hard work of raising the trees.  But things don’t go exactly how Annalise envisioned it would, and the road to Christmas will look very different for both she and Olivia this year.

Although “Love Inspired” books are usually a little shorter in length than a regular full-length novel, Mindy Obenhaus did a great job of making this story feel complete and allowing us to get to understand the backgrounds of the two main characters, Annalise and Hawkins.  Both have experienced enough hurt that it’s difficult for either of them to trust in a relationship again.  I like how the author brought out the themes of trust, forgiveness, and hope in the book.  I enjoyed reading this book and it is one that I’ll be reading again.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher.  All opinions are my own.
