My Review:

This book is the fourth book in the “Lords of the Rockies” series by Misty M. Beller. This series features the four Balfour brothers, who are the sons of an English duke and who have all been raised on a ranch in Montana. I have been drawn into this series because I’ve enjoyed following this close-knit, supportive family, and also for the storylines that have a great blend of action, a touch of suspense, and sweet romance. Even though this book is part of a series, you can easily read and enjoy this one on its own. This book follows the story of Robert and Clara, who enter into a marriage of convenience so that Robert can protect Clara from her manipulative mother.

Robert is already in love with Clara, and Clara holds Robert in great respect. It was sweet to watch them draw closer and closer together in their relationship. But as they begin their marriage, there’s an unexpected plot twist that greatly affects the Balfour family relationships when an unknown older brother introduces himself to the family. Despite the questions this new brother brings to the family, all must band together when danger threatens the ranch. I not only loved Robert and Clara’s story, I was also intrigued with the other twists and turns in the storyline. I was glad to find that we’ll soon have an opportunity to read the next book in this series.
